Stay safe from scams and fraud
Unfortunately, scammers sometimes try to impersonate trusted organisations to obtain personal, financial or account information. They may contact people by phone, email, text message or social media.
Whilst these scams can be convincing, there are some simple things you can do to help protect yourself.
Firstly, here’s what we'll never ask you to do
✅ We'll never cold-call you from a withheld number and ask for your policy or account information.
✅ We'll never ask for your password, email account password, or a one-time passcode.
✅ Our colleagues will never ask you to approve a multi-factor authentication (MFA) request over the phone.
✅ Be cautious of unexpected calls, emails or messages, especially if you're asked to act quickly. Scammers often use urgency or pressure to encourage people to share information.

What to look out for
Many scams try to manipulate people into sharing information or taking an action they wouldn't normally take.
For example, they may:
- Claim to be from a trusted organisation.
- Suggest there's an urgent problem with your account or policy.
- Pressure you to act immediately.
- Ask you to confirm personal or financial information.
- Request passwords, passcodes or security approvals.
Remember, it's always okay to take your time. Genuine organisations will understand if you want to independently verify who you're speaking to before continuing a conversation.
When in doubt, stop and verify
A good rule of thumb is to stop and verify. If something doesn't feel right, take a moment and contact us directly through a trusted channel before sharing any information.
