Hospice care supports people and their families in their hardest moments. That’s why your health insurance policy includes a £250 hospice donation each year if you’re admitted for care. We make this payment directly to the hospice, as a donation to recognise and support the vital care they provide.

Who is it for?

You can claim the hospice donation benefit if you’re admitted for any type of care, not just cancer. We’ll pay it regardless of your length of stay too.

How does it work?

You (or a family member) can let us know if you’ve been admitted to a hospice for care, and we’ll take care of arranging the donation.

When you contact us, we’ll need to carry out a few checks to confirm we’re able to discuss your policy. If someone is getting in touch on your behalf, they’ll also need to answer a few questions so we can make sure we can speak with them.

To make the donation, we’ll ask for a short letter from the hospice on headed paper confirming the dates of care and who the cheque should be made payable to. We’ll then send a £250 cheque directly to the hospice. As this is a donation, it won’t affect your excess or any No Claims Discount you may have. The donation can be made once per policy year, for each member.

You can find the contact information for our claims team below.

When things become difficult, knowing what support is available can make a small but meaningful difference. This hospice donation is just one of the ways we aim to support you and the people caring for you, when it matters most.
